She believes client education is a big part of good veterinary care. She recognizes the need to partner with pet owners in decisions about their pet’s veterinary care.
Dr. Gaultney moved here from Indiana in 1992 with her husband, Larry and children. They have three children. Their son Peter is married and is a senior software engineer in Nashville, Tennessee. Their second child, Wendy, is also married and is working on her PhD in pediatric clinical psychology at UMBC. Their youngest, Cecilia, is about to graduate with a BS at Drexel University, also in psychology.
Dr. Gaultney enjoys gardening, hiking, traveling and many outdoor activities. She enjoys finding delicious and healthy ways to serve all the fresh produce from their vegetable garden and many fruit trees. She also enjoys any opportunity to practice her language skills in Portuguese, Spanish and French. She tries to keep up with national and international news and she is passionate about justice, peace and stewardship of the environment.
