Oxford Veterinary Hospital - Oxford, PA - Lost Pet Prevention
There are many ways to help prevent your animal from becoming lost. The most important is to keep and eye on your dog while he/she is outside. Also, making sure that all the doors are shut and windows all have screens is key to keeping your dog or cat safely inside your home. Below are some links to other good resources for you.
Placing a tag on your pets collar with the basic information including your name, the pets name and your phone number is one of the best resources you have available. Often times a dog that is at the bottom of a driveway is assumed lost and picked up by a good samaritan, having the basic information on your pets collar will help them get back to you faster. You may purchase a tag from our office or click the link below to find out more information. You may also call 610-286-6684.
Another great way to keep your pet protected is to get them microchipped. Oxford Veterinary Hospital offers microchipping at our office and strongly recommend it! There is a one time fee that is paid upon the implantation of the microchip and then your pet is registered for life. You would only have to contact them if you change any of your information. You may schedule an appointment to get your pet microchipped at any time. It is not necessary for them to be under anesthesia to receive the microchip. Please call the friendly staff of Oxford Veterinary Hospital for more information at 610-932-8757. You may also click the link below to read more about microchipping.
