Our  pets keep us company and often entertain and amaze us without prompting.  Some have  "tricks" they perform on command  for our pleasure because they love to please,  just as we do things for them because we love to please.   (Whose training who?)  An animal "trainer" is someone who understands this two way street and takes it in unusual directions.
